Brexit statement

March 2021

The United Kingdom has left the European Union and since January 1 2021 new rules apply. At OAL, we are implementing the necessary changes to our business operations to minimise disruption and ensure we continue to provide ongoing quality service and support to our customers.

We understand that many customers have concerns, and we are taking all reasonable steps to mitigate risk where it is within our control. We remain focused on key areas we have considered to be important; including, but not limited to changes to tariffs, customs borders, exchange rates and regulatory frameworks, as well as any impact on our integrated supply chain. We are operating and preparing at every level of our organisation, from customer service, sales, and procurement, to finance, compliance, human resources, and information technology.

We have implemented contingency plans to ease the effects of any potential delays in customs clearance for products imported from mainland Europe. Where it is feasible to do so, we are optimising stock levels of certain products. As a global operator, we are accustomed to sending our service engineers to all continents and as such, have planned for the application of any relevant work visas and travel documentation in our scheduling.

We will continue to keep our customers and suppliers informed, however please do get in touch if you have any queries or concerns either by emailing sales@oalgroup.com or calling the number below.
