An opportunity has become available for an experienced Software Developer to work within the award-winning OAL Connected SBU at OAL. From day one, you’ll be fully immersed in projects and will very quickly become a valuable member of a team full of industry experts.
Role responsibility & accountability
Work within development teams/individually to expand and support current OAL software as well as develop new software (Windows and Web applications)
Apply thorough testing of any software - automated unit and integrations tests
Execute full software development life cycle
Create internal and external specification & user guides
Compliance with relevant health and safety regulations and quality standards.
Visit customer sites in the UK and abroad to undertake deployment of any new software
Attend internal and customer meetings to facilitate the above
Essential skills we require as a minimum
Minimum BSc Higher Degree in Computer Science or IT related subject with an emphasis on programming
Four years or more experience in a commercial software role
Knowledge of the following programming languages C#.Net, SQL are key
Knowledge of Agile/SCRUM framework
Experience in integrating multiple programming languages
You will be able to interpret and clearly articulate technical and complex information to present to a wide-ranging audience
You will be proactive, able to influence others and build rapport quickly, developing long-term relationships
You will enjoy responsibility, solving unexpected problems and challenging the status quo
A full UK driving licence

ASP.Net 2.1 core or later
Web API (Rest services)
