Marketing Executive

We’re looking to recruit an enthusiastic Marketing Executive to join our newly repositioned marketing team who can help drive forward our ambitious plans and support the company at a key stage of growth.

As the Marketing Executive, you will support the International Marketing Manager, playing an integral role in promoting our brand to food manufacturers across the globe and getting involved in all areas of communications, brand and digital marketing. You will need to have a way with words and be able to translate complex engineering concepts into easy to understand copy.

This is a superb opportunity for someone who is bright and ambitious with a thirst to learn. The role would suit a recent graduate or someone with one to two years’ experience who is looking to develop their skills within a passionate and fast-paced team. You must be highly organised and able to juggle multiple projects at once. There will also be occasional travel around the UK and Europe for events and customer meetings.

Role responsibility and accountability 

  • Support the delivery of strategic and effective campaigns, which are completed in-line with OAL's brand values, within budget and on time

  • Build reports to monitor marketing performance

  • Copywriting for online and offline materials and managing consistent communication of this information to the relevant internal and external stakeholders, across all suitable touch points

  • Become a guardian of the OAL brand

  • Manage the logistics, promotion and execution of internal and external events and conferences

  • Drive conversations across a range of social media channels

  • Build and maintain relationships across the business to make sure Marketing is up-to-date on the latest business news, issues and success stories

  • Conduct regular competitor and market research

  • Oversee design and delivery of sales and marketing collateral

  • Maintain and update customer databases and facilitate the processing of enquiries to fill the sales funnel

  • Support the tracking and management of invoices and the overall budget

Essential skills/qualifications

  • Educated to degree level in any discipline

  • Strong IT literacy (e-mail, Microsoft Office, CRM platforms etc.)

  • Highly-motivated work attitude with the ability to work proactively and independently

  • Ability to work on multiple projects simultaneously, adhering to tight deadlines and sticking to budgets

  • Analytical, with strong project management skills and attention to detail

  • Fluent English language skills and excellent verbal and written abilities

  • Full working proficiency in a second language

  • A problem-solver with an open mind towards continuous change and improvement

  • Strong commercial acumen

  • Happy to work flexibly at times as required in an SME, including occasional travel around the UK / Europe for events

Desired skills/qualifications

  • Experience in a B2B marketing role is ideal however ambitious candidates who are proactive and have a desire to learn will also be considered

  • Knowledge of CRM and digital marketing would be valuable

  • Any design experience/knowledge would be an advantage

  • A full driving licence
