You’ll help us develop technologies and solutions for unmanned food production facilities incorporating AI and robotics. Role responsibility and accountability
Develop modular software code on PLCs and HMI graphical displays.
Generate the interface with SQL databases and general serial bus based equipment
Work on projects both in the UK and overseas
Provide technical support on site to the installation teams as required
Foster and maintain effective business communications at all levels both inside and outside of the business
Develop / maintain user instructions for applications developed / generated.
Able to develop system architecture and modular software code across core PLC / soft PLC platforms
Generation of HMI graphical displays
Able to interface with SQL databases / handling of queries
Be able to work under tight timeframes / budgetary constraints
Ability to integrate within existing teams and develop / foster new working relationships
Quickly assimilate new information and identify the key facts / points
Maintenance of clear / succinct records of work completed and generation of user documentation
Clarity of verbal and written communication at all levels both inside and outside of the business
Not afraid of challenging the status quo / how activities have previously been completed.
5+ years’ experience
Experience with robotics or high speed servo controlled machinery
Knowledge / awareness of S88 software structure an advantage
Experience working in an agile / scrum based product development environment
Ability to plan activities to achieve agreed timescales, identify potential risks to prevent completion and possible mitigating actions.
